5.0/5
Lovely spot, good cell phone coverage and immaculately clean flushing toilets, plus drinking water.
2 minutes walk to a beautiful, quiet beach with rich wildlife. Good shelter, hardly anyone around - we visited in May and didn’t speak to a soul for 2 days! Worth bringing stuff to eat as the shop isn’t walking distance.

5.0/5
Lovely spot with plenty of space and track down to the river.
One (ok) long drop toilet, several km of gravel road to entry. Worth a stop to drink your Martinborough spoils!

Nice, simple, quiet and well kept campground, good for all vehicles which is useful if you’re not self contained!
2 long drops - same old, nothing special but all good. $8pppn paid into an honesty box, good location for access to walks around Nelson lakes! Would return.

4.5/5
Beautiful simplicity, quiet and peaceful.
Long drops and no facilities to mention, balanced out by wonderful views and no cost. It is a fair drive from the main road (about 25 min), but a good option nonetheless.

Lovely open space with benches, recycling facilities and bins, clean toilet block (if slightly rough around the edges), and good shelter from the wind!
Absolute bargain at $10 per vehicle, a great place to stop on the beautiful Banks Peninsula.
