Cute, clean holiday park - quite pricey (but no more expensive than a Malborough sounds DOC campsite where you also had to pay for showers.) but we felt like we got good value: unlimited hot showers, use
of the kitchen, dumped waste water, cleaned the van down a bit too with provided car cleaning materials. If you want to be close to the action of ChCh then it’s a great wee spot.

You can basically freedom camp anywhere in Duvauchelle (see map) so we camped on a grassy bit by the Holiday park, it was pitch black dark when we arrived so we drove around for a bit but turned out great
. No toilets in the immediate area, by there are some close to the Allied gas station. Woke up to beautiful views and sunshine!

Great little spot - what all the other reviewers say is true: big views, toilets a short walk away and fills up quickly!!
When we arrived we had a council lady come round and give us the Freedom Camping info - super friendly. Only downside is you must vacate your spot by 7am!
