Took our caravan, three kids and the dog- all enjoyed the stay.
Really quite spot. It's a small camp ground with lots of nooks to set up site in. Beautiful bush surrounding. The river had a lot of algae so needed to find safe area for the dog. Kids enjoyed the river - shallow spots for wading. Lots of Great walks near by.
Facilities are adequate. Didnt try the shower. Toilets fine. Open kitchen block with herb garden - nice touch.
We really enjoyed it. Would return.

Kaitoke is a favorite of ours.
Really happy vibe, good family campground. Rangers are total stars!
Pet friendly- so there are a tonne of dogs at all times, but owners are very responsible. Great wee tracks nearby, swimming holes, perfect for kids to take bikes. Good for tents, caravans or campers.

We stayed in our caravan over Xmas 2020.
It was very pricey, but with three young kids we needed the on site entertainment! Pool was great, as was the playground and they just got the air pillow up in time for Xmas day. Facilities are a we bit tired. The place was very busy and it coped with the crowd. Our site was great , we needed to swap sites to a less shaded area for our solar panels and the staff were very obliging. So over all we had a great time- but for the cost I would expect the available Facilities to be top notch. A good family holiday site all the same.

Took our caravan here - its pretty bumpy and lots of wee hilly bits, still managed to settle a nice spot.
As the weather was cold and rainy lighting a fire was a huge bonus. Bit boggy in the cooler months. Did not enjoy the night time toilet experience- bit dark and scary- no light ! Great big walk - kids did not love it- walk through farm land , cow pats everywhere. Take gumboots. River w eels was a huge hit. All round, good little campsite for a short stay.
