I Loved this place so much.
Really enjoyed hanging out with the other van lifers who have been there a wee while. Parked up in the yard. Can’t see the beach from there but it is a 30 second walk away. Hot shower, picnic table, accessible toilet. Great neighbourhood. 3 min walk to the beach shops. No booking is needed. Just show up. First in first served but there should be space. If the owner isn’t home her cell number is on the sliding door. She is lovely.

Nestled in the bushes right on the beach with a surf board seat/table provided.
Couldn’t ask for much better. Lots of space for campers. 2 toilets. Stiff doors so needs a wee push/pull. Best to bring some toilet paper as it ran out first thing in the morning. They are maintained daily as well as the bins. Went for a swim. Later found out there are rips out there 😬.

A lovely spot right on the ocean.
Was a pretty quiet exposed area on pebble/sand. Not too windy (December). About 7 vans/campers stayed overnight. No toilet or water as listed. A few families visit for the day surf fishing. A sweet spot.

This find was a pleasant surprise.
There were no designated non-powered sites which was nice. We found a sweet elevated spot in the trees. Staff were friendly and informative on things to do around the area. The river was great to swim in and there was only a short walk to a little waterfall. Toilets and $2 showers were satisfactory. Running water, trampolines, kayaks and bikes were an added bonus. $12pp. Kitchen facilities available also. Cool vibes

We stayed on a non-powered site.
There was a good amount of allocated space surrounded by vines which was a nice touch (not all sites were like this). Hot showers were $1 for 5 min. Toilet facilities were satisfactory. Noise from others music was minimal. A nice family area. Cost us $20 pp.

Beautiful view of the Waikato River.
A great place to set up for a few days. We spent one night on our drive down the island. A bit of a county drive to get there but it was worth it. Narrow gravel road for the last stretch. Clean flushing toilets with Tp. A Few fire pits scattered around. Water must be boiled. Lots of people with boats, jet skis and dogs. Family friendly area. Great for large groups. $8pp

A sweet place for an overnight stop.
The long drop was clean enough. Parking lot type of set up. No running water. River close by. Lots of wildlife.
