Nice location and short walk to the beach.
The facilities were good, well stocked kitchen with all utensils etc available. Facilities weren't super modern but were clean and worked well. No doubt gets busy at peak season but otherwise a good option to stay near Dunedin.

Great stop off on way through Catlin's.
The campsite has good amenities for a DOC site (proper flushing toilets etc) including a kitchen space and a few benches around the grounds. The local village has a few stores and cafe which are normally open during peak periods.

Reasonable services, kitchen/toilet block has recently been refurbished.
DVD library to borrow a movies for the night was a nice touch. Location was a 10min walk from shops but had noise from heavy vehicles through the night. It was OK for the price.

Beautiful location and reasonable price to stay close to Mt Cook.
The camp site can be exposed to winds funneled through the valley (at certain times of the year) so choose your spot wisely. Amenity block had some leaks but was a nice addition. Picnic benches were available and a newish toilet block serviced the sites furthest from the amenity block. Water is potable/treated. Make sure you pay, the DOC ranger frequents which is good. $15 per adult per night.

The camp ground was run down and one of the most expensive yet one of the poorest facilities we experienced during our 2 week south island tour.
Would recommend others to stay elsewhere. Electronic systems are antiquated yet they as for your electrical wof! Location was quiet enough and good access to Mt Hutt and Methven stores.

Great spot after a 10 minute drive from the turn off.
Great scenery but limited parking if the ground is wet. Easy access to the water and the surf. Big shame to see most people who stayed didn't pay the DOC fees or show any pass. Note there is likely to be sheep grazing nearby.

This was our first overnight stay after picking a van up in QT.
It is a fair drive off the main roads but is worth it, in good weather we can imagine the views would be very special. Large area available for camping with interspersed basic long drops around the sites. Opportunity to have sites sheltered in/under trees or near water's edge. There are some basic facilities to help small camp fires/BBQ during set periods.
