If you want to stay somewhere that has outrageously good views then this is the place!
Absolutely stunning whatever way you looked. We were able to park in a spot that overlooked both the entrance to lyttleton harbour and on the other side Christchurch and up the east coast of the South Island. The sunrise in the morning was exceptional and we struck a time when there was not a breath of wind. Toilet was clean and there was a sink outside with drinking water and a place to do dishes easily. Highly recommend! Wasn't busy at all when we were there either which was brilliant.

Beautiful little campground overlooking the beach and close to the "cathedral cliffs" which are worth a look.
Kitchen and showers were closed for renovations when we visited but that didn't bother us as we only needed to use the toilet which was very clean. Stunning place to fall asleep listening to the waves and wake up watching the sun rise over the water. Only a couple other campervans there when we were there so almost felt like we had the place to ourselves. No cellphone reception which was great for us to unplug and enjoy the beautiful surroundings!

Nice little campground a few minutes drive from the centre of town.
Good facilities, dated but clean. Hot showers were brilliant and a hair dryer in the girls bathroom was handy.
We unfortunately encountered a lot of bugs which put a dampener on our night there as it was hard to keep them out of the camper! Otherwise it was a pleasant stay overall.

We were pleased we stayed here over other choices in the area - such good value for money ($20 unpowered, $30 powered) and great hosts to boot!
We parked our camper down the end of the massive parking lot and had a stunning view of the snow capped mountains and only calves and horses for neighbours. Well appointed bathrooms, showers are $4 for 4minutes of hot water but in reality they go for much longer than that and they were extremely clean when we were there. The owners were super accomodating organizing breakfast for us to take away and we had a delicious dinner at the pub run on site.

Beautiful location with parking spots right on the water.
We found a wonderful private spot to park near the higher toilet block and it was magical to fall asleep to the sound of the waves and wake up to a beautiful sunrise. Toilet block was clean and simple. Cold showers which we didn't use. Bring your own hand soap and drinking water or boil the water provided. Highly recommend this place, only reason to not give a 10 was that it was very windy when we were there but still fabulous!
