We chose Wilderness because of the great reviews and customer service other people had received and they were perfect.
We went with a Basejumper 2 which is fully equipped with everything you can imagine, has loads of space so we never felt like we were living on top of one another and was so warm and comfortable. Great for all the colder nights in June.
The guys at Wilderness went out of their way to help us and made it such an easy experience.
We managed to crash the van into a low ceiling (stupid us) and we took it to Christchurch and they were so laid back about it. They got us a quote within half an hour so we knew what to budget and it was a fair price (we had decided not to take out the excess waiver insurance!).
We also broke down on day 48 of our 50 day trip. John & Steve immediately started planning how to get us back on the road. We were just about to drive to Cape Reinga so weren pretty far from major towns. They got us towed to Whangarei, put us up in a motel and Steve drove a new van from Auckland the next morning to get it to us by 8.30am.
And even when our flight was cancelled instead of driving us to the airport they drove us all the way into the centre of Auckland without hesitation.
We didn't think we were motorhome people but we fell in love with the Basejumper 2 and Wilderness made us feel so relaxed that we would do it all over again.
Would definitely use these guys again and will recommend to everyone we know. I wish we had more of a motorhome culture in the UK - Wilderness should definitely set up there!

I hate heights and almost chickened out but it was such an amazing experience and now feel I can do anything!
All the people working there are cool and put you at ease straightaway.
Just do it!

We weren't very impressed with this brewery tour.
Might have been something to do with the lack of beer being brewed there as they have moved all production to Timaru because they're going to replace the factory in Greymouth.
So seeing empty containers is a little pointless and I thought the cost should have been discounted because of this (or they could have given some warning when buying the tickets).
That said the tastings were good!
