Very welcoming host who took time to share info about the area and to ask us about our travels.
Walking distance to pub where we had delicious blue cod fish n chips. Bathrooms very clean and a bench and hooks to put clothes on and a shower curtain so the space stayed dry ! Hooray ! Loved the wonderful dawn chorus and the paradise ducks ! A great place to stay even in winter !

I can’t say enough about the pleasure of having warm bathroom - heat pump and dehumidifier meant I was not dressing in a damp cold place in a wintry southerly !
Hats off to the owners for their care of their guests. The ducks and other waterfowl in the pond an added extra. Quiet and a short drive to “downtown” Invercargill. Highly recommended.

evening.
Great dinner at the Royal Hotel on a chilly damp
Not many people staying - you need to pay for showers but the owner have us enough coins. The rabbits on the lawn in the middle of the night were a surprise in the moonlight ! The place is a bit old but adequate even in winter.
