This free camp has everything you want for a night.
Toilets (2 minutes walk from the parkinglot), bbq area, picnic tables, sea view and stoney beach. The rating 6/10 is only based of the incoming and outcoming cars of locals, loud music, torchlight and so on during the night. It doesn’t gave me a safe feeling and couldn’t sleep

Great holiday park, clean, tidy, hotpools, lots of activities to choose from, large kitchen, great hot shower.
Nice management, very friendly. The environment of Miranda isn’t inspiring, but the holiday park is extremely nice! Loved it!

Gravel road through dense rainforest is very scenic and suitable for big vans if you drive slowly.
It is a parking lot with toilet facilities and some sinks. Fire pit and short walk to the beach. Great for a sunset. The driftwood makes the beach very special. Nice walks starts from DOC camping. We have seen 3 hector dolphins in the morning.

Big parking lot with parked boats and trailers.
There are some parkinglots available for overnight. The toilets wasn’t clean and it is a long walk to these facilities.

Awesome site to stay overnight for free.
Clean toilets, soap, toiletpaper and nice sinks. There are sheltered picnic tables to cook your own meal and if you haven’t done your groceries......the 4Square is a stone throw away, just the other side of the road.
Or grap a pizza, is just next door! Our kids loved the big playground and scooter ramp for their stunts. There are also sinks to wash your dishes, drinking water and information boards to enjoy the heritage of the trainstation. The holiday parks would be jealous of these faclilities, and it is all for free! Would visit again! Highly recommended!!

What a great welcome when we checked in with Oscar!
The lush and native vegetation makes this park very pleasant and special. The lots are in the middle of the rainforest. The hottub was a nice bonus. Showers excellent, great waterpressure and hot! Cosy diningarea with a logburner, attached to the (standard) kitchen. BBQ area nice, liked the rainforest trail at holiday park. Great park, highly recommended! Definitely will return and visit again.

Small, cosy and friendly holiday park.
Excellent and fully equipped kitchen. Nice TV room, the WiFi worked perfect. Clean and tidy. Stayed here with family of 4, 66 dollar. The showers need an upgrade or at least a bit more waterpressure. Used the disabled shower, that was a bit better. Gateway to the penguins and albatros.

Ok camping, nothing special.
The hangar is an eye catching kitchen. WiFi doesn’t work well, kids loved the play area. Showers nice, hot and good waterpressure.

Nice parking lot near a rocky beach.
The public toilets are clean, thank you fellow travelers and Kaikoura community. The downside is the road very close to the parking. Luckily it is t a busy road.

Nothing special, just a city holiday park without any character.
All the facilities are clean and tidy. The mens bathroom is old and needs an upgrade. The women bathroom is recently renovated. The playground is only one trampoline and one slide. Nothing to complain, except the price, 62,20 dollars for a family of 4, including 15% discount with kiwi membercard.

What a dissapointing campground for tents.
Tentsites are tucked away at the far end, most far from the facilities, so stupid. The ones who needed the kitchen the most have to walk 500 meters. Expensive too, for a family of 5, we paid 91 dollars for a NON powered site. Yes! 91 dollars for ONE night!!! The playground is a joke! For toddlers maybe ok, for teens a no-Go. TV room is ok, but you have to pay for lending for DVD’s, yes really! WiFi doesn’t work, unless during the night when everyone is asleep. Not enough space in the kitchen, food stolen out of the fridge, waiting hours for the shower. I would like to rate the campground with “1”, the location is the only plus. I will never go there again.
