Good safe area to park up for the night.
Camper parking spots are sealed and are reasonably level. They are spread around the car park, rather than all grouped together. This is unusual but that's good. Toilets are excellent. Car park is just a few minutes walk to the beach. Take a walk up to the WW2 radar station on top of the hill. It's interesting.

A reasonable campsite, but you may need to choose wisely where park or pitch a tent if your night is to be very wet.
Toilets were OK, and there is water. Extremely good kauri forest trails immediately adjacent. Well worth visiting the kauri trees.

Very nice beach side camping area.
Safe. Area set aside for campervans is not particularly flat and even, but all vehicles seemed to cope OK. Large area for tents. Good toilets and water on tap. Attractive and safe sandy beach. Located just a few kms from Cape Reinga.

Puriri Bay is a seriously good campsite.
Lots of space, lots of good toilet facilities, cold showers, a safe swimming bay, and great sunsets. A beautiful location. Very welcoming camp managers who maintain the camp to a high standard.

Large gravel parking area suitable for the numbers of vehicles allowed. We felt perfectly safe. Near new toilet block.

A lovely little bay to park up for the night.
Very safe. Parking area is level and clearly marked. Toilets are about 30m away and are clean.

An amazing and very unique place to visit.
A bush clad gorge filled with huge fluted basalt boulders. We intended to stay one night, but stayed for two after realizing the extent of this attraction. Spent several hours visiting all the trails, and also climbed up through the farm to see the 'Majic Rock'. Plenty of space for camping or parking, Good toilets and hot showers. Highly recommend.
