Great little place....
quiet, secluded, serene.
Pine trees line one side while the river runs along the other.
toilets are functional with plenty of paper and sanitiser
Directions from others very helpful which made it super easy to find.
I loved seeing the stars, the milky way and even Jupiter and Saturn showed up amazingly (with Pluto hiding behind Jupiter)
great place with no light pollution
would definitely recommend and would stay again

Arrived for opening....
went on the train, panned for gold and saw all the places... loads of interesting history and learnt things which was a bonus.
went to have a photo and lunch but could not find staff and the photo place was not available.
three hours later we emerged.... still could have spent more time reading and exploring but we were hungry.

Orange Sheep moter park was great...
so simple to check in....
find your spot... fill in form, put money and form in little bag and put in the honesty box..
so amazing to be in your own private little rainforest
I would recommend and definitely return.
facilities were great... just need your gumboots if it is raining as the ground by the showers and toilets flood...

good place to stay...
a little out of the way - $20-$23 each way to town for Uber as the shuttle was not available. (short staffed)
Expensive place for what it was. stayed in a lot nicer for a fraction of the price.
we had a campervan so parked in a powered site.
Was good in the fact that the toilets and showers were close by.... but the camp spot backed onto a road on the other side of the fence... so had a bright street light all night through the campers curtains and trucks or loud cars driving all night.... and we went in the middle of the week.

Hard to find using the directions on here...
but was able to drive back to the site.
good facilities- cold as no walls by the roof but paper was in good supply and it flushed..
great view and quite a few people using this stop

Campervan magnet...
probably because this is the only place to stay.
right on the lakefront, by the hotpools.
showers about a minute too short from a full shower... and because the warm water doesn't start straight away you cannot take advantage of the 6 minute limit.
Some very loud campers who 'took over' a portion of the campervan area and had very loud conversation and laughter late into the night.
Some non-english speaking campers did not seem to respect personal space of others walking through outhets camp areas nor did they have respect for the resident wildlife which was a shame.
I was told on arrival that the camp lot I asked for was taken - which was fine.....Parked in ours and set up... no-one arrived in that parking lot all day and nothing there still at 10pm... but to leave in the morning with that space still vacant was a bit upsetting.
Person at desk was not a person who spoke English as a first language - so this may have had an impact into translation issues..
