As a family of four with a toddler and an infant, we travelled in one of Gateway's 4 berth motorhomes for almost 3 month.

It was a good journey from the start, the motorhome was clean inside, well equipped and everything was well functionable. The fridge kept food really cold, even when run only with the vehicles battery for days. The kitchen never left us hungry. The Thedford toilet, as well as the lpg fueled warm water boiler and heater were well appreciated and necessary features, especially as we were travelling with little children. With the Kruse Tour Guide we found quite some hidden places, not mentioned in any book. The fiat turbo diesel engine was powerful and economical (about 10 liters / 100 km), the vehicle had a record of regular services. Concerning the size of the vehicle, it had pretty good driving habits. Only the tyres were a bit worn. Compared with other rental vehicles, Gateway's Fiat 4 berth was very well priced, in pretty good condition and as safe and comfortable as a modern motorhome is supposed to be (modern ABS, ESP and airbag technology). The Ballantynes provided a very personal communication from the first contact. Patiently, they answered all our detailed questions before our journey. After the rental period, refunding of the bond was uncomplicated and dealt with straight away.
