It was absolutly awesome.
Ian is a very friendly and entertaining guide and he knows ALL about Kiwis. After a short introduction how we should behave when a Kiwi is jumping out of the Bush we went straight into the forest and after some waiting we saw THREE different Kiwis. Really awesome if you keep in mind that most of the New Zealanders will never see one in their life.
So, all together: If you are just a little bit interested in native wild life: DO IT!
@Ian: Unfortunately the weather the day after our trip was too bad for kajaking, so we left the campground early and didn't dare to wake you up on Sunday morning. That's why we couldn't write something in the guest book and couldn't have a look in the statistics how many Kiwis our friend Stefan saw on his trip. :-(
Thanks for the great review. Since this trip, it's been tough, tough, tough !
I have sent you an email, I think you friend, Stefan, also had a superb night, maybe......even better than yours ?

Really good and interesting tour.
We saw the Yellow-Eyed Penguins from a very close distance and the Sealions while fighting - really impressive. Our guide, Shaun, had a very high knowledge and told us a lot.

Perfect service and friendly staff.
The 2 Berth ST was in a very good condition and had some nice extras (enough storage room for our lugage for example). No problems with the van during our 1 Month / 4000km Trip.
