Pests free nature reserve north of Dunedin.
Go on a calm day and you'll see more birds. We didn't see that many, but the place is only two years old. Might have more birds in a few years. A bit expensive, $15.

We rented kayaks for five days to see Able Tasman NP from the waterside.
It was absolutely beautiful. Do it for fewer days if you do not have the time! Very good service and friendly staff. The seals came and played around the kayak!

Admission by donation.
Very big museum. The exhibition about natural history is very good (and big). 'Your face here' Was a lot of fun, but don't think it was a permanent exhibition.

3-day walk, 37km.
The middle day is only in the bush and not as interesting as the 1st and 3rd day. Nice camping grounds. Good chance to spot a kiwi bird.

Only campground in town.
Very expensive and you still had to pay to use all the facilities. Even for some of the kitchen gear! Nice and clean, but we didn't feel welcome at all, $20 per person.

Cruise with Dave in his green boat from Kaiteriteri, to split apple rock and back, coffee included.
This cruise is nice because you have time for a swim at Split Apple Rock. Dave will take a picture of you doing the starfish between the rocks, $25.
