The most amazing and unusual experience.
Digging a hole in the sand and enjoying sitting in the sometimes almost scalding water from underground geothermic activity - a must do in Coromandel!

Apart from the sulphuric whiffs now and again from Rotorua's surrounding geothermic areas, very relaxing. Some pools a little too hot to tip your big toe in and slightly overpriced for what it is. Overall a good experience.

Travelling in a Jucy 'Condo' (4 of us), supposedly sleeps 4 but quite cramped!
Especially the upper double bed which freaked my husband out because of lack of head space!! Well equipped- great TV for DVDs. Need more/bigger cooking pots.

Great pitch, closest to the beach.
Nice pool and spa facilities and small slide that I was mocked for being too scared to go down!! (I am scared of water!). Waihi High Street has nice gift shop and bar. Met a very friendly beach fishing tackle shop - gave us great tips for routes to Rotorua - thanks!!!

Absolutely stunning location with great facilities, very helpful staff and 5 mins walk from beautiful beach. One of our best few days holiday spent around this area - visiting Hahei Beach, Cathedral Cove and other local beaches. Got to try the digging a hole and sitting in hot water.

Disappointing location due to surrounding industrial estate and the view of Petes Pie-Mania factory from our van window.
Facilities clean but pitches very close together. Positive = close to Picton ferry.

Good rates for 'backpackers' - fabulous views but not for the faint-hearted going up in a glass bottomed lift! Some nutters were base-jumping off the top! Worth spending a day in Auckland - sparkly clean and modern city with lovely harbour and Mission beach - great!!!

Brilliant tour guide called Grant who was very humurous and knowledgeable about Rotorua's beautiful lakes and geothermal areas. Highly recommend if limited time in Rotorua and if you want some eye-candy = Grant!!!!
