Hired a camper from Jucy but had no end of trouble, not helped by the rude and unhelpful staff at the Auckland office.
The camper was old, not particularly well maintained, scruffy and tired inside and its fuel consumption was astronomical. When we decided to rent another camper at the end of our six months in NZ, we used another company and had far better service, a better camper and it cost us less. All in all, our experience of Jucy was not a positive one. With Jucy it obviously depends on who serves you at the counter, who answers the phone and which camper you get.
Hi There
Firstly please let me apologise for the service your recieved when collecting your vehicle. This is not acceptable and definatley not the JUCY attitude we expect from our staff.
All our vehicles are serviced regularily and go through quality checks so I am sorry that you did not find that our vehicle met your expectations.
If you do have any further feedback or would like me to look into your comments further please email them to me on lucy@jucy.co.nz along with your booking reference number.
Cheers
Lucy

Nothing special, just a big tower in the middle of a city like many other cities in the world.
The views are good, but there is no outdoor viewing platform, and the outside of the glass was a bit dirty, so no good for the photographers on the day we were there. Save your money and go up Mt Eden instead. It's free it's outdoors, it's got amazing views and it's a volcano. 'nuff said.

Feel like David Attenborough for free.
You can get reasonably close and they are fascinating to watch. It's at the end of a beach with black sand. Well worth making a detour out to Muriwai and spending a few days on the west coast of Auckland, but whatever you do, don't miss the gannet colony.

A great day out but it is a hot walk in mid summer, so bring plenty of water and wear a hat.
Excellent views and really different from a normal walk as it's a volcano with lots of volcanic rock. You can do as much or as little walking as you want, we did about 4 hours actual walking. It's also great for families and the kids we saw there seemed to be having a lot of fun. The trip over and the in the boat made the day even better. A definite "to do" when you visit Auckland.

Excellent tour.
Well worth paying the extra and getting an expert and being driven around, rather than trying to do it yourself and having to have a non-drinking driver. We had a good bunch of people on the day we went which made it even more enjoyable. Chap running the tour knew his stuff but was not a wine bore. All in all, a really enjoyable day. There's a lot included in the price, so it's pretty good value for money.

Cheap and cheerful.
Did the job with no problems. Easy pick up and drop off. Would have preferred a diesel for economy, but still cheap to run. Vehicle was standard white with no signwriting so didn't mark us out as tourists.

Great view of Auckland.
Free access. Instead of driving up, walk up, you'll feel you've earned the view then.
