Super experience on a 10 seater plane - everyone has a window seat!
Checked in at Invercargill by the guy who was the pilot too. Passengers get to sit in the co-pilots seat.
The views were stupendous.

Great site but a bit pricey.
It would be better if the sauna and spa were charged separately.
Hi LandJ,
Sorry that you were unhappy with our price- we include everything as we have no way of monitoring who would use the spa and who wouldnt- come again and we will give you a return discount price!

Really great small site.
Walking distance to a very good restaurant and fish and chip outlet. What more could you ask?

Very large with all the right facilities but is not at all appealing.
Vans are lined up in double rows with no privacy at all. The facilities block was dark and scary.
Hi L and J
Thank you for your comments regarding out holiday park, we sincerley apologise for the delay in responding we thought this reply had already been dealt with. Management had looked into your comments regarding our facilities block and more lighting has been installed.

Friendly welcome.
On the plus side, it was wonderful to stay at Milford and enjoy an uncrowded late afternoon cruise on Milford Sound. But there are downsides too. There are a lot of people - campervans, backpackers and chalet occupants, crammed together on a small site. The toilets/showers were accessed down a rather dark corridor.

Superb location with great views and wonderful walks directly from the site.

As you might expect parts of the walk are spectacular but there are some sections that are rather dull.
Overall a great freebie.

A real find.
Very friendly welcome. Site is on a steep slope but excellently designed to give all the campervan pitches great views across the valley.
The walk from the park through native bush up to the waterfall was a bonus.

An interesting experience.
The number of people meant that we did not see and hear quite as much as we had hoped which left us feeling that it was not good value for money.

Very well organised.
The taxi service enabled us to have a great walk along the Abel Tasman Coastal Track.

We went on the late afternoon cruise which was quiet - very good.
The crew did seem bored and the commentary could have been more informative.

Very smart, new and clean site but unfortunately very close to main roads where the lorries keep running to and from the ferry terminal all night.

Rather run down.
We were left feeling that the lack of competition so close to Wellington had lead to a "take it or leave it" attitude.

Well organised.
Enthusiastic and friendly.
First time on a horse and can still feel the pain, but the guides were very supportive and we felt totally safe.

Plus points are friendly welcome, easy access to McLean Falls and Cathedral Caves, and excellent restaurant.
Minus points are that the campervan sites do not have the great views that we hoped to have in that location.
They are bush views, but you can't please everyone.

We had a superb trip to Ulva Island - hesitate to say any one thing was THE top highlight of our visit to NZ but this would certainly be on the short list.
The group was small. Our guide was enthusiastic and knowledgeable but was able to pitch his commentary to our level.
No hesitation in recommending.

We arrived on the Otago Peninsular believing that it must be possible to see penguins in the wild without spending large entrance fees, but that is not made easy.
Having said that, the tour was interesting and informative and they do a great job supporting the penguins but overall we did feel exploited.

We took the express tour which we thought offered the best value for money.
It was interesting to see a few chicks in their nests but on the tour we only briefly saw one adult. We did however learn what to look for and later outside in the public (and free) areas we saw a number of adults in flight.
Our advice would be to do more research into what an albatross in flight looks like and to save your money.

The manager who checked us in described it as inner city living.
At $50 per night it initially seems a bit expensive but it was actually a great deal. We arrived at 10am so our parking for the whole day was included in the fee.
The showers and toilets (no kitchen or laundry) were immaculate.
It was not particularly noisy through the night and we were able to have a lie in before driving the 5 minutes to the ferry check in.
