This place has a surprisingly low rating (in my opinion).
I thought it was great for what it was. You can't beat the location and the facilities were clean and the sites were fairly large (in the powered site areas). There are not many other options in the area so you don't have much of a choice but I wouldn't hesitate to book here again.

For free camping in NZ, you really can't beat this.
It's a 15 minute drive to the entry of Abel Tasman and has plenty of space for campers. The toilet situation isn't great, but again, it's free! Sand flies were not too bad either.

Compared to our other holiday park stays, this wasn't anything special, but it did the job.
The kitchen has a very industrial feel - metal picnic benches and tables. The faucets in the kitchen and bathroom were separated by hot and cold, which made them somewhat annoying to use (get burned by the hot one and then cool down with the cold one). Also, you had to pay for hot water in the shower, which seemed like they were nickel and diming you, to be honest. That said, this was cheaper than other holiday parks we stayed at, so my expectations were a bit lower. We also had a nice site by the creek and generally enjoyed our stay.

We had a great experience with this holiday park.
The spaces are a bit tight, but that comes with the territory of staying so close to the central town. The kitchen and bathrooms were very clean and functional.

We booked this place because it had solid reviews and seemed like it was right in the heart of Queenstown.
We knew we would be spending most of our time in town and didn't need much, and this location fit the bill. The showers were clean (albeit a bit small) and our site was nicely sized (although most seemed a bit tight - to be expected given the location). If you're planning to do activities in Queenstown, this place can't be beat.

These are nice accommodations in the heart of Wanaka.
The sites are spacious, kitchen is clean, and bathroom was clean and had plenty of stalls. The ladies at the office were very friendly and gave us great suggestions for our hikes in the areas. I would recommend to anyone traveling through Wanaka.

This was a great DOC campsite - the space is very open and you can't beat the views.
Plus, the toilet facilities are very good and plentiful. I had no problem spending $15 per person for this site.

Very basic facilities.
The sandflies are pretty rough here, so don't expect to spend much time outside or have your windows open. I think this spot is a bit steep for $15 / night / person but there aren't a ton of options when you're coming up the East coast, so you have to take what you can get.

This was one of the most lovely holiday parks that we stayed at during our time in NZ.
The hosts were extremely friendly, the accommodations were spacious, and the showers and kitchen were clean and well-stocked. If you need to stay near Arthur's Pass, I would highly recommend staying here.
