We were there a bit before and for 3 weeks of the level 4 lockdown.
We found the kitchen and shower facilities fine when they were open but what really set this park apart is the way they handled the shutdown. The rate was reduced to account for the closed facilities and the hosts did many things to make life more pleasant. These included finding a legal way to provide access to a washer, supplying little things like toilet chemicals, and even loaning us a sharpener for our kitchen knives. It's difficult to imagine a better park to be stuck in.

Affordable Motor Home Rentals

We rented from Affordable in February 2020, intending to return home in April, but the lockdown happened and we ended up having the van until June.
We cannot say enough good things about this company. Lynda’s responses to our communications from the USA, Grant’s help with our questions during the hire, and especially the way the lockdown was handled were all much better than what our lockdown neighbors experienced with the big companies. We had two different vans and both were as described, with some years and km in their history, but they were well-maintained and fully functional. The way the interiors were fitted out was particularly clever and made the space very efficient. All in all, if you’re looking for a cost-effective way to see New Zealand, you should consider these folks.

This is one of the best places we have stayed on the South Island.
The sites are nothing special but the facilities are excellent. Nice clean showers a large incredibly well equipped kitchen and a very reasonably priced laundry which is open 24/7. The host who is the owner is very helpful and quite friendly. The city water supply is however not very tasty so I would not suggest filling your tank.

This facility deserves all the previous 10 reviews.
Sites are spacious and well laid out. Kitchen facilities are very well equipped and they were not crowded. Showers and toilets clean and well maintained. No charge for showers. Wi-Fi was a bit weak in the most remote corner but you got 500 megabytes per person free
