Awesome camping.
Very cute and homy kitchen (fully equiped) and dining room. Clean place for a very fair price. Swimming pool available as well. One of our favorite campgrounds in NZ!

Beautiful spot with clean flush toilets and an outside cold water shower.
Next to a seafood foodtruck. Only park in one of the handfull parkinglots for self contained campervans as they will check daily if you are really selfcpntained and parked in a correct spot. They even checked one of the van if they could use their toilet while the bed is ready to sleep.

No shadow, some sandflies but beautiful surroundings especially at night to watch the stars, milkyway.
Nearby easy walk to blue pools. Toilets get cleaned very well every day. Sink for washing your dishes.

Beautiful spot in the nature!
no toilet but you're suppose to have a selfcontained vehicle anyway to stay there overnight. 9 out of 10 because there are no toilets ;-)

Nice spot at the sea.
Toilets kind of clean. Some teenagers were racing around on a motorbike during night and screemed to wake campers up.

Everything very good!
A wonderful short ride to the coast where we could see a big seal colony from very close. Two pinguins where there as well but difficult to spot as they where not too close to us.

Nice staff, very good value for money!
Much better than the camping next door and also cheaper when traveling with a baby as the neighbouring camping charges even for 0 years old babies.

Too expensive comparing to other campgrounds which charge same prices for unpowered spots.
Men toilet doors can't be locked anymore, no light in the shower and you need to be lucky to meet staff or the owner. Self checkin. Cute kitchen with all you need.
Guided barefoot nightwalks are offered for 20$/person.

20$/person for an unpowered site is a fair price for this modern and well maintained campground.
Showers, toilets, kitchen were very clean and in perfect shape. From the sanddune on the campground you can have a perfect view for the sunset. The only negative point were the many moskitos but just keep the moskitonets closed and you will be fine. I highly recommend to stay at this place. Bit as it's quite a hugh campground I dunno how it is on a weekend in summer or on public holidays. We stayed during the week.

My wife, our 7 month young baby and me liked this campground a lot.
We stayed in our station wagon for two weekdays and not on public holiday - therefore it was not crowded. Very kind and helpfull lady at the reception, free wifi, free hot shower, nice kitchen, some unpowered spots with trees on the tent campside. Walking distance (5min) to a countdown supermarket and also not too far away by foot to Paihai.
