Daytime: I visited it when it was slightly raining, so I met only one guy in the whole park.
It was one of the best experiences in new zealand, absolutely stunning. But you have to like new zealand birds :), and: "its not a zoo". If you know about new zealands wildlife, its lovely to encounter all the rare animals.

A lot more fun than swimming with dolphins.
If I would have to devicide between these two, I would choose this.
Good organization, good spot, I would do this again.

One of the best places to see a kiwi that is not behind a window.
If you are interested in new zealand animals, than this is a must do. Nice to watch there too: Takahe, Keas, Weka ...

Very nice campground, clean facilities in good conditions.
Very close to one of the most interesting beaches and even closer to a big playground. We stayed there twice, in 2009 and 01/2011. When we are in this area again we will stay there a third time.

One of the most beautiful campsites in new zealand.
We stayed there twice yet and we will stay there again in Feb. 2012. It is a lovely place with a lot of space, affordable Internet, nice pool and free spa and mini golf and a lot of other stuff.

Really nice park with a lot of space, not crowded and a thrilling encounter with wild dogs.

Old, dirty and expensive, should be closed.
Never again.

One of the mostly overrated attractions in new zealand.
