What a lovely place to stay, we had a pitch by the sea, stayed three nights.
Convenient for going into town and the ferry across to Russell. Good kitchen etc and clean, only problem their bbq not working. Would go back again.

Our stay was for only one night, would not go back again as we felt a bit remote.
The receptionist not the most friendly person, and so many rules and regulations with the do and dont’s. You have to wait at the barrier for someone to notice you before you can get in. Otherwise the place clean and tidy and a nice bbq area.

Stayed for one night, very quiet while we were there and had a pitch by the river.
Cooking facilities not very good with only individual hobs which took ages to work, it was a bit dirty in places and showers, kitchens need a bit of updating. The hosts were very nice and I don’t’ know how they manage on their own, as things are beginning to show. We hired a couple of canoe’s and a lovely trip up the river to see the waterfall.

We were on pitch no 3, just a gravel car park feel, the toilet block was not good, all around the shower cubicle was black mould and the shower trays did not look like they have been cleaned for a while
. Not sure what the rest of the site was like as we were only there for one night before catching a early ferry, but the area we were in seriously need some TLC, we would not stay there again. The reception area was very plush though,

What a lovely place to stay, the lady who collects the money is so nice, and she keeps it all clean.
Drop toilets not smelly. Right by the beach, we managed to get a sea view while we were there.
Would go back there.

They only have two electric hook ups now,but it is a lovely place to stay over looking the estuary, small kitchen and a barbecue area, you have your own key for your personal toilet and shower,plus fluffy
towels, wry nice to have it to yourselves.
Town small so does not take a lot of time to look around,but a lovely sandy beach.

Second time we have stayed there, it’s lovely, we parked right next to the river on a non powered site for two nights, the kitchens, toilets & showers spotless, even a washing machine and dryer.
Quite a few sand flies though.

Port Motueka Beach Reserve

We stayed one night it’s a lovely spot by the beach and a nice walk along the shore, but......
it fills up with kids in estate cars that are not clearly SC, they sleep in the back of them plus hang all their laundry in the trees, they seem to go in the morning and then back in the evening. Made us feel a bit uneasy staying there, it’s a shame that no one comes to check this park.
