Beautiful tranquil setting.
Off the beaten track yet so convenient. Small and wonderfully quiet. Very friendly welcome. Great facilities. All very clean. Well kitted kitchen, dining area and lovely relaxing lounge area with TV should you desire. Short stroll into village brings you to a temporary pub which is trying to make a living after hotel damaged in 2016 quake. Excellent rates. $16 for full powered site. Includes 1GB WiFi per day. I’d say this is one of the best sites in South Island.

Arrived at a lovely Irish Pub and Motel where Murray has extended it to campervans on site.
Great location to Kaikoura. Superb food in pub (suggest lamb shanks). Horses in the paddocks. Ducks in the ponds. At $20/30 for unpowered / powered site this is a great spot. Clean and appointed.

Lovely setting but the sandflies caused mayhem.
Sadly this spoilt the day. Basic clean amenities. Bit dated though. Kitchen basic. Could cool off in river but water was extremely fresh. Closer to Milford Sound so guess that’s a bonus. Lovely dark night so had there been no mist the stars would have been superb.

Great campsite.
Fairly full. Sites small so very close to your Neighbour. Amenities are really top notch. Ablutions are brilliant. WiFi only near amenities block. Great location in town and opposite lake. Price rather high at $26 per person but guess that’s due to location.

Wonderful find.
A fairly long gravel road to get there. Thought we might have wrong track. Many shady areas to choose from. The toilets were rather smelly. One central tap area to wash hands otherwise need to be self contained. Peaceful and relaxing. Wonderful birds heard and seen.

Friendly reception despite us arriving late.
Bathrooms basic and clean. Need to pay for shower. Family orientated park with many kids around. Lovely small town a short walk away.
No where to charge phones legitimately. Plugs signed as such.

Lovely location.
Clean ablutions. Kitchen area well appointed. Plenty of room to relax and use WiFi if required. Close to Mt Cook. Pricey but that’s due to location.

Enjoyed our stay.
Very friendly owners who really assisted. Muffins and paper bag with animal treats were given on arrival. Lovely touch. Our site was very close to 3 other camper vans so you don’t have much privacy.
The amenities are clean and fairly well appointed but could do with a revamp. Appears that some new ablutions are being built which will help.
Lovely to walk to waterfall and see glow worms. WiFi is charged for and limited to 250MB.

Was really disappointed.
Host is friendly. Position next to beach is wonderful. Can walk onto beach in evening.
Camp ground is small and we had a site on tiny middle island which gave us nowhere to place table and chairs. Felt like we were on the road.
The kitchen area is clean.
However the bathrooms are really poor. Are made of portable Cain type. Open at roof and had some mosquito netting attempting to cover. All had either holes in it or partially covered showers. Not enough hooks to hang items. However they were clean in very early morning but that did not last as beach goers would bring sand in.
WiFi was $5 for 500MB which was steep after paying $42 for the night for 2 people.
Except for location I would not go back.

Brilliant find.
So relaxing and well appointed with very clean amenities. WiFi everywhere. Such friendly owners. Able to feed the alpacas if you so desire. The stars on the clear night were breathtaking. Highly recommend. For $17 per person at a powered site it was well worth it.

Charming find on a remote road.
Very close to the pebble beach on the Pepin Island causeway.
Divided into a few sections so you don’t feel crowded in. Each site is on a slightly different level so you feel private. Ablutions are really good and clean. Did not use laundry but saw machines.
WiFi is free and each voucher gives 300MB but not always reliable connection. Small kitchen area with not much area should many campers be in at same time. Has barbecue that can be used.
Very peaceful. Zero noise after dark.
