This place is heaven on earth.

Probably the most beautiful place I have been to in NZ. However, the camp ground facilities and staff are below standard. Very little help from staff. Had to ask for park map. Was not told about camp activities such as kids movies etc (found out later trough other camper). The bathrooms, toilets and kitchen are poorly maintained. Spider webs everywhere and saw a rat in the showers. I was told shower tokens last 3-4 minutes- that is not the case. Not only the warm water turned off-the WATER turn off. So if you have any left shampoo in your hair you better have more tokens on you, because you cannot even wash it off with cold water. This is the only camp ground I have been to that turns the kitchen and bathrooms lights off!!! If you need to go to the toilet in the middle of the night- good luck finding your way. While I enjoyed the location, this is not a campground I will go back to, unless some major changes are made.
