Very nice place with great views of the river.
Sites along the river are not marked, but the friendly host showed us where to park for the best views. The bathroom and shower facilities are very functional.
It is a short walk to the start of several trailheads, as well as the bank of the river.
We were very happy to stay here and would recommend it.

Very friendly hosts, nice open spaces, and good bathroom/shower facilities.
We didn’t use the kitchen. Powered site has water as well, so bonus! There is a public dump station just outside the gate, so that was very convenient. This was a very nice stop for us.

Nice campground, bathrooms were ok at best but the sand fly’s drove up away after 10 minutes.
We ended up driving back into Karamea and stayed the night there.

Accommodations were fine.
Nice social room and bathrooms were clean. Nice spot on the river but you can’t see it because of a little hill (10 stair steps). The campground host was so nice and very informative. No sand flys!

Riverland Family Park

First, the camping spots are not in the Riverland Family Park, but about 300m beyond.
There are grass spots under trees, and some on asphalt. The bathrooms (2) are very clean and well supplied. The dump site and water fill are very much appreciated, especially for a free site. Really nice and good location right next to the river.
