After doing rather extensive research on various types of campers I chose Epic in particular for the smart, compact design of the interior.

As a first time left-hand driver I didn't want to be hauling around a ginormous and cumbersome vessel and Epic's vans fit the bill.

Further, my correspondence with Andy gave me a sense of confidence that I was dealing with a responsive organization--a plus when coming from a far distance (US). When my daughter and I arrived to pick up the van, Andy spent a solid half hour going over all aspects of use and upkeep of Dwight, (all vans have their own names!). There were also many items, e.g., dishes, table, chairs, etc., included with the rental price. (Several of the other companies seem to charge separately.)

Outside of Auckland there were very few straight roads, and with the mountainous terrain and gravelly switchbacks, Dwight was up for the challenge.

Though designated a Certified Self-contained, we spent our time at DOCs and Holiday Parks, which gave us a little more creature comforts. However, it was great to know we could free-camp if we needed/wanted to.

During our twelve days on the road, Andy was very responsive when we texted questions. The price for reliability of both the van and contact was well worth it. Though there were no incidents on our trip, we opted for full coverage, and I would highly recommend it for peace of mind.

Overall we had an Epic adventure and give high praise to Andy and his company.
