Very quaint campsite, not many parking spaces so will need to negotiate with your neighbours as vehicles can’t use the day parking on the other side.

Lots of spaces even by the river when we arrived around 9pm. Good view of the river, have different spots to se preste families and travellers so not that noisy. Even if it’s by the river there aren’t many sandflies

Prime location to view Mt Cook from Lake Pukaki we almost cried seeing it for the first time!
Toilets are bearable, camping spots available at the lake and then around the corner on top of the hill. Got there around 8pm and found a spot by the lake which was perfect

Excellent spot by the sea!
Road closed signs to the road but just went through them and lots of travellers about. Arrived around 8:30pm and all the spaces were taken but just parked on the side of the road. Toilets and outdoor shower available

Sheltered cooking facilities. Near to railway tracks and quite brightly lit. Alternatively there are sites which are better located in nature but this one has signal which we needed at the time. Public toilets we very clean. Recycling/rubbishy drop off available

Good location and alternative for accommodation close to lake Tekapo.
We arrived around 9pm and nobody was there to man the gate but it’s $10 per person. Didn’t access the lake, we just stayed the night and went back to Tekapo. About a 10-15 minute drive

Stayed one night, easy location before Lake Hawea and Mount Cook.
Many spots, not many bugs with a calm river by the side. Clean long drop. Very content for a free spot. Quiet roads As well
