Excellent customer service in reception.
Knowledgeable staff. Facilities were immaculately clean, free hot showers, with no timers. 44 dollars for two people on a powered site. Kitchen and dining facilities were excellent, and clearly still very new. Easy walk to lakeside. We stayed on our way to Te Anau and would highly recommend.

The bathroom here is diabolical.
7 minutes up the road (east) is Ruatahuna. Right next to the gas pumps is an immaculately clean unlocked public toilet. I spent the night here, admittedly peed at the sight, but did my other "business" up the road at the gas station. Super quiet spot right by a stream, someone's horse was munching away when I arrived. Got a great night's sleep, would stay again.

Great little campground.
Not too fancy which is fine by me. Showers aren't available 24 hours a day as they are rainwater and need to be conserved. Only point of mention. Wonderful restaurant on site with amazing Indonesian food. 20 minutes to new Plymouth, 20 minute drive to mangorei car park for pouakai shuttle. Would stay again would recommend.
