Good location for an overnight park-up which gave us electricity and a nice central location.
However, be really careful of the pricing - I had read information for the other city motorhome park which mentioned a price per 24 hours. BE AWARE - this car park does not charge by 24 hours. It is $35 for max 12pm-8am but if you need to stay beyond 8am then your only option is to get another ticket which is $45 (additional $10 for the early check-in). Our ferry wasn’t until 2:45pm so we had to pay the extra making this the most expensive site we have used (for the least facilities).
It was nice to be central to Wellington but I’m not sure I would use this one again - the spaces were small and the car park on a slight slope. From early morning you realise that you are basically parked in a car park as everyone starts to arrive for their day.

Perfect location for exploring the National Park and the Taranaki Falls Track.
The site is well maintained and had plentiful hot water in the showers. We had a powered site - the pitches were nicely segregated from each other but very small - not sure I’d want to stay here too many nights.

This is a lovely site and perfectly placed in the National Park.
I nearly didn’t come here because of all the comments about how tightly packed in the camper vans are but I’m so glad we did. We have a powered site and I don’t think we are tightly packed in compared to the other sites we have visited so far.
The Barn has a lovely feel to it - lots of different people here exploring the park. The facilities are great and nicely spread out - very clean toilets and showers with plentiful hot water.
It’s definitely not the cheapest, but I think we have had value for our money.
My only quibble... the wifi allowance is pretty stingy!

We stayed here for 2 nights at the start of our trip and it was great.
I paid for the premium site on the hill which does indeed have fabulous views. The facilities were excellent - very clean and well maintained. Great playground for the children and a lovely location - a short walk into Russell and a slightly longer walk to Long Beach.
The only small quibble I have is that the sites weren’t big. They each had their own picnic table which was nice, but a little more space would have been nice.
Thanks Su, a wonderful review with great feedback and we can't ask for anything more than a 10/10 rating.

Good location, very helpful staff and clean facilities.
We had a powered site for a motorhome and it was pretty small - not that much space between pitches. Good base for seeing the area though.
