Hi there Stefan and Kristin, thanks for your review a while back.
The park is under new ownership as of 30th November 2020, so we are taking note of all old feedback and using it to develop an even better camping experience for future guests.
We hope to welcome you back again in the future to see what we've been up to since you were last here!
Kind regards, Sapphire Springs Management

Bit of a drive to get there over a Mountain Gravel Road.
Quiet Place with great view. We were welcomed by an older and nice Lady, who helped us park our 7meter CV. 7.5$ pp. with fully selfcontainment. Clean Toilettes. Didn't use the other facilities, all in all worth the drive for one night.

Only 3 spots, which were full when we came early afternoon, therefore the few points.
We went to hatupatu car Park, which is also right at the lake 5 Minutes drive away.
Pretty nice view over the lake there too. Need to be fully selfcontaint. There are flush Toilettes, but rather dirty. All in all for free a good campsite 7/10 for that.

outside Wellington. Lots of Space for CV but quiet popular. Clean flush Toilettes. Incredible view over the ocean and cliffs with a walkway along the Coast. Perfekt Spot for one Night when travelling with the ferry to the South Island the next Day. Drive to ferry takes about 20 Minutes.
