A great camp spot with several spots available for vans.
Rubbish bins available along with a well-maintained toilet. The beach is nearby (2 min walk) and it makes for a lovely sunset walk along all of the driftwood and soft, white sand. Friendly council worker pops by in the morning to ensure everything is in good order and that everyone is respectful to the surroundings. An excellent spot!

Single outdoor shower near the public washrooms.
Washrooms are in good condition. The beach/salt pools are fun to have nearby. Public sinks make dish washing easy and picnic tables dispersed. Fills up very quickly, so try to get there by 4pm to secure a spot as there aren't many. Great little place to camp.

We were so pleased with our experience with Affordable Motorhome Rentals.
Our self contained sleeper van was comfortable and equipped fully with everything we needed for our 16 days around the South Island. A table and benches inside which easily transforms into a bed, cooking and sink facilities out the back, including a box fridge and 2 burner cooking stove (LPG). The van drove beautifully without any problems. Best of all, we had a full run down with Lynda from the company of everything to expect from the van before we left for our roadtrip. She was kind, helpful and very thorough. I highly recommend this company for your roadtrip, you won't be disappointed!
