Paid extra for ‘beach front’ and instead we’re 3rd row back from the beach with campervans blocking any possible view of the sea.
Specifically requested as close to the beach as possible, checked in by just after 2 and were still plenty of actual beach front spots available but were told they’d already been allocated. Dissapointing, don’t bother paying more for powered sea front site.

The best place we’ve stayed at during our travels around NZ!
We’re really glad we listened to the previous reviews and stayed here for the night, well worth it :).
The facilities are all lovely and there’s a really homely feel to the place, doesn’t feel like a camp ground but more like a home stay!
Kevin and Julian are both really welcoming and friendly, Kevin even took us down to the glow worms last night and stopped and chatted with me in the morning happy to offer recommendations for our travels, giving me lots of tips! They go above and beyond all other places we have stayed at :).
