Bring the correct cash as the office is unmanned at times.
(you can leave your card details if no cash) Very retro camping ground 🏕️the main dining area looks like an old 1960's school house. Very 'interesting' set up inside with laundry /kitchen /dining lounge.. and showers off the lounge...toilets in a separate block. But nice and clean and everything you need. And honestly, for the ocean view this is perfect 👌❤️

Massive flat camp site in a beautiful secluded spot - great for dogs to hoon around in the long grass.
So quiet - we were alone when we stayed. Really clean long drop toilet and water (boil before use). Perfect if you're looking for peace and quiet in a gorgeous setting.

Lovely quiet campground set amongst forest - it's quite big and I can imagine busier during summer months.
There were only two other guests when we stayed. The kitchen is new and well appointed with a logburner and chairs to relax at night. Bathroom block is older but clean - hot showers ($1 for 7 mins). $36 for a powered site (great value). Laundry facilities also. Close by you have the mountainbike track (great for walking the dogs) as well as off lead exercise area down in the village. Trampoline and playground for kids as well plus we are told that there is a swimming dam in summer. The campground allows well behaved pets, our two dogs were very excited by the many rabbits hopping around. Highly recommend trying the chocolate brownie at the Black Forest Cafe. A hidden gem in Central Otago. Well worth a visit.
