Very nice campground with good facilities (including full kitchen, fridges and freezers).
Good base for Abel Tasman activities - only not rated 10 because it is a little more expensive for those travelling on a budget (although it is worth the extra!).

Freedom rental, 2 days.
Great staff, made us feel very comfortable. Good value for money and lots of equipment available to rent (camping gear etc). Beautiful area, great beaches to explore. Just don't overestimate the distance you think you can paddle! 2 days definitely enough for us.

Short walk (10mins) from the seal colony to a lovely waterfall where seal pups play in the pools.
Great to watch.

Great trip in beautiful surroundings.
Plenty of interaction with dolphins and good advice as to how to get them interested in you. Only not rated 10 because it is slightly pricey ($165NZD).

Quiet spot right on the beach.
Feels more like free camping than being in a campground. Lots of mussels to collect. Cheap rates ($6.10 per night).

(Luge and archery).
The dirt track luge is great fun - I guarantee everyone will want a second run. Archery is well laid out and a very satisfying sport. The company also offers horse treks and a farm park.

Breathtaking scenery on drive over (beware of steep hill!). Gorgeous beach and nice walks. Beware of sandflies!
