Really good campsite, so close to nice Muriwai's beach.
All facilities are really good and the weakest point is that Internet access is not available from sites, just in the buildings
North Island ▷ Coromandel ▷ Tairua ▷
3.0/5
Good place to overnight right close to Tairua's beach.
There are few places for self-contained vehicles, but it is bad indicated. We arrived around 18.00 and we did not see any forbidden signal; in the morning, ranger came and advise that we stayed at wrong place which is allowed for cars. Anyway, he was so kind and we did not take any fine.

Nice campsite really close to Rotorua. We spent a night before visit Hobbiton(less than 1 hour).
It is a small spot with all facilities, we had a site close to the stream which pass surrond the campsite; there are kayaks that you can enjoy for free. The worst point is that Internet access is too weak, just you have 500MB to use per person.

Just follow the road and you will see the sign to reach this calm and good place to overnight.
We had also dinner at the restaurant, but dont expect that it will be super; its a buffet of some dishes and you can choose between BBQ or stew, if you are hungry is a good idea!
Its the only free place around Waitomo.

It is a nice place to overnight in a journey between Coromandel and Auckland.
It is plenty of space and the view is so nice with the sound of waves during the night

It is a good campsite close to Taupo.
We arrived around 19.00 and there were few sites. It is good indicated
South Island ▷ Nelson Region ▷ Motueka ▷
4.5/5
Its a nice place for overnight before visit Abel Tasman.
Even it was full, we could find a place and it was better than free options in Motueka. However it was a little bit difficult to find out; you have to turn left and follow the exact location in Rankers app. It was at the end of this small road when you think that you are going to nowhere.

Perfect campsite to stay before go to Tongariro alpine crossing.
We were alone and just inside the nature. We liked it so much!

We did not use the toilet and when we arrived there, it was almost full.
Anyway the beach and surrondings are really nice

5.0/5
Nice spot to overnight between Christchurch and Dunedin.
It is probably the best campsite during our trip around NZ. If you have a self-contained one, you will enjoy to stay in touch with real and pure nature!

Really nice campsite!
We arrived so late and we could find several free sites. Also facilities were clean and accessible. If you like Lord of the rings, you could enjoy Rivendell :)

Too much money for a normal campsite.
Facilities are normal and this spot is close to supermarket and other places at Nelson.

Basic campsite.
The old woman who attended us was a little bit rude and unpolite. Nothing else to hightlight
South Island ▷ Southland ▷ Mossburn ▷
4.5/5
One of our best non-free campsites where we stayed at NZ.
Owner is really kind and helped us to deal with the maintaining tasks of our vehicle. Toilets were so clean and every site has powered

4.0/5
It is a nice campsite close to a great beach area.
The only problem is that there were several young people driving so far after sunset.
