The loop track takes you around the flat land and onto the beach which is a beautiful and goes for a few kms.
Hooker's seals resting on a sunny day, also saw some penguin tracks which was nice and an indication that they return on dusk. Overall it's an easy walk fit for all ages. Fyi - No toilets and wheelchair access.

Nice wee little walk that can be completed in a few hours.
Good idea to carry gloves during winter. Note that the direction coordinates given on the app would take you to Mt. Cook Village carpark, not the actual Hooker Valley Track cp. Refer to Google

Nice walk through the forest, very curious fantails and other small birds.
I was alone and being less noisy stumbled upon some Bambi's around a bush few feet away, so that was a highlight. Some sections are steep and can be demanding, not a family place with kids. There's a stream that I used to fill my water bottle, but there are no toilets on this route some come prepared ;)

Nice place by the beach.
Public toilet just a short walk away. We went during winter sharing the space with a couple few neighbours. Surely would be busy during summer. Close to Waipapa lighthouse and other ways around Catlins

Just off the main road in town so it's easy to find.
Public toilet just across the road. I would suggest to stop here just to take a nap for the night, cuz there isn't really a "view" or anything special. Gravel ground and there's a dumping station too.
