Supposed to be for 2 campervans according to signage, but at least 4 other campervans showed up after 8pm.

It's about 20 minutes walk to public toilets. Stayed on a Saturday night, after 11pm teens (assuming) ran around the campervans screaming "Wake up!" Around 3am there was a lot of loud activities of cars driving in and out at high speed while playing loud music. This lasted for almost 2 hours. This freedom camping site seemed good when we first arrived in the afternoon, but turned out to be a hangout for rowdy troublemakers. We did not sleep much due to the chaos.

Good spot for freedom camping.

Toilets nearby. Sadly, other campervans do not follow signage/rules. We found our campervan blocked in by extra campervans after 8pm. We stayed on a Friday night, the playground nearby was full of many loud children by morning. Fyi, if you are not keen on those sounds.

Very active carpark even in winter.

Noises very late into the night. Great view of Kapiti island. Easy access to Paraparaumu beach. Public toilet at the nearby MacLean Park.
