Top 10 holiday parks don't disappoint.
The bathrooms are heated and have blow dryers, the place is well maintained and they offer and free shuttle service into town. Was expensive at $50 for 2 on a powered site but was the cheapest in Queenstown! Would recommend.

Pretty nice area.
Small and quiet. Being a DOC site you have to fill in a form so dont forget a pen and correct change (learn from our mistake). Beautiful frost on the grass and plants surrounding in the morning.

Beautiful spot that overlooks the moutains.
Was VERY cold overnight and early morning but was amazing to wake up to some native birds and watch the sunrise, especially for free!

Kaikoura top 10 was amazing.
We had issues with our motorhome and checked in last minute. A bit pricey at roughly $48 NZD for 2 people on a powered site. The bathrooms have a heater (SO good in the colder months) and hairdryers, very well equipped camp site with wifi.

Great, well maintained holiday park; especially if you have kids!
This place has a volleyball net, basketball hoop, a 3 story playground with a slide and a flying fox, swings, and little pull karts! My partner and I (23y/o) had a great time expending some energy using the equipment after being on the road all day haha.. bathrooms were good, no heating but shower and toilet in the same room with a shower curtain. Showers are free but you need to keep pressing a button on the wall every 15 seconds or so. Cost us $40 for 2 people on a powered site.

Being the nearest free site near Queenstown was highly beneficial (roughly 30min).
Stayed here 2 nights while exploring Queenstown in the day. Located right before the one way bridge on glenorchy-queenstown road. Cold overnight and morning but peaceful with the sounds of the lake.

Absolutely beautiful spot to watch the sun set over the ocean (from the comfort of the warm van haha).
Couldn't believe we were staying for free. There were toilets, rubbish bins and taps; next to the beach shower. Great little spot after a long day of driving.
