The camping is very beautiful indeed.
With the river nearby and the natural pools to swim and refresh. Absolutely clean facilities and very peaceful. We had a worm welcome and everything would be perfect if on the next day the cleaning lady wouldn’t request us to leave in a rude tone and in not very friendly manner. Because we were finishing our breakfast shortly after 10am which is the time to check-out. During our travel in NZ we have never been requested to leave even if we stayed much longer than the check-out time. Not the best farewell we have experienced in NZ. Very disappointing in the end. Never will return to this place.
Clearly ignoring the check out time is what you do regularly. Other campers were very respectful of the rules and we very much appreciate that as we work hard in the limited time we have to make sure the park is clean for the next lot of guests. It is never our intention to sound rude, but clearly you were just not bothering to make a effort to leave on time.

Very warm welcome.
Pleasant home-like atmosphere, clean kitchen and facilities. Good WiFi connection although limited like everywhere in the camp sites in NZ but sufficient to check emails and get necessary info from the net. One can have a nice chat and drink with the long-term campers in the “Dead Wood” bar or swim in the river nearby. Highly recommendable.

Great place to stay and visit Wellington before taking the ferry to Picton.
We stayed 2 nights there. Very worm welcome, we got all the information we needed. 5$ (cash only) for the bus to the city center. 15-20 minutes walk to a shopping center up the Newlands Road. Plenty of WiFi with good quality which is really not natural for NZ. Clean facilities. There is a restaurant on the site (we didn't visited it) if you wish to have a dinner or breakfast. Easy drive to the ferry terminal. Absolutely recommendable.

Best camp site for us in NZ.
Very friendly staff, beautiful view over the bay, clean facilities and the usual high standard of services of the Top 10 camp sites in the whole country. Akaroa is such a beautiful place to stay, we felt in love with it. Highly recommended.

Very good place to stay if you want to explore the Abel Tasman NP.
It was full during our stay but this didn’t bother. 2$ for 3min for hot shower is a minus point. Friendly staff, helps you with advises in any questions. Beautiful mountain bike park in proximity, part of the Great Taste Trail. Have your bikes with you, it is highly recommended.
Hi Niko, glad you enjoyed your stay, and yes it is great location for exploring the area. Just to remind people, our showers are $.50 cents for three minutes of hot water, not $2.00. Yes indeed, bikes are essential, as we have plenty of places to bike, a great 30 minute bike back into Motueka for coffee or lunch along the Great Taste Trail.
