Great value for money (€18 pp for unpowered camper site) with modern and clean facilities.
Ideal for trips to hot water beach and cathedral cove.
Free WiFi a nice touch.

Really nice staff and close to the town centre.
It has all the facilities you need, and a decent amount of showers, however it is very dated.
Perfectly serviceable for a night, however I didn’t choose to extend my stay beyond that.
Thanks for staying. Glad you found us convenient to the town centre and appreciated our nice staff.

Relatively plentiful spaces (12-15), compared to other freedom camping spots, it did still get full around 5pm in winter.
Ideal for walks around the city centre attractions, and those a little drive out.
There are good toilet/shower facilities available at the visitor centre (5 min walk) for 5 dollars.
It does smell, as the rest of the city does, but surprisingly quiet.

Having been disappointed by the freedom camping options near the town, we turned up relatively late and were greeted warmly.
Facilities were limited (smallish kitchen and only 2 showers) but perfectly serviceable. We came in winter, but I imagine these would be very busy in summer.
Right in the town centre, where we found some nice cafes, free WiFi a bonus.

Really helpful/friendly staff and very close to the town centre.
Quite lively when we were there, but still had plenty of showers and kitchen space.
Powered sites felt quite private, with hedges in between pitches.

Nice kitchen facilities and a decent amount of showers.
The main feature is undoubtedly the view of the lake, which is directly across the road.
On a sunny day, it’s well worth the fee.
