For being so close to town, this place was.still quiet and super nice.
We loved out stay. Free DVDs to use. Clean facilities! Wonderful BBQ area in the middle of the courtyard. Enjoy unlimited showers and 2GB of data!

Great freedom camping!
All sorts of spots and pretty isolated from each other. New drop toilet that gets cleaned each morning. We enjoyed this spot!

Pretty simple, but they are doing remodeling for facilities. Facilities are clean! Great location to be at.

Really cool spot!
The sites can be a little tight, but we were placed with no neighbors. The facilities were nice and clean. There was a super nice hot tub available and an awesome restaurant on-site. We had Pizzafest while we were there and it was delicious and fun!

The bathrooms were very clean for a freedom camping spot.
Its nice being by the water. Make sure you keep driving the actually camping area! It can be a bumpy road back, but nice spots are available.

We had no problems while we stayed here.
The facilities and grounds were a little run down, but they did a great job at keeping them clean. We really enjoyed watching the mini horses in the back!

Pretty much paying for proximity at this campsite.
The long drop toilets are not too great, but at least have sanitizer. We saw quite a few people using the outdoor kitchens which looked nice. The spots are plentiful and big at least!

We really enjoyed being so close to the water and Cathedral Cove hike!
Bathrooms are a little dated, but I believe you pay for the spot!
Thanks for your review. The convenience of having the beach right next to our campsites is always amazing. We strive in having our bathrooms and kitchens cleaned regularly but we are also always looking to make improvements each year and new bathroom facilities is in our sights.

Very nice spot, close proximity to Mt.
Cook hiking. Facilities are great! The spots are a little slim pickings due to being uneven or sunken mud, but we were able to get a good spot two nights in a row.
