The campsite was nice with plenty of room, however it was pretty pricey for a powered site in the back corner of the park with no lake view.
There aren’t any other options in the area by the lake, so the price was understandable. The park is a short walk from the township which is super handy, and had great access to the lake’s shoreline.

The location is great as it is in the centre of the town and provides easy access to everything you might need.
The downside to this, however, is that it is in the centre of the town in a well lit parking lot. At around 10pm a group of young men walked into the parking lot presumably after a bar had closed. They were talking loudly amongst themselves for awhile, but we assumed they were waiting for a ride and waited it out. An hour passed and they were still talking loudly, playing music and drinking. They seemed to wander off for about thirty minutes but returned and continued. This pattern continued for the next couple of hours. Although they did not interfere with the campervans in the lot, it still created a feeling of unease and I did not feel safe in the lot overnight.

This site was our favourite so far.
Beautiful views of the lake and plenty of room. We arrived at around 4pm and were able to secure a spot with a clear lake view. Definitely a must if you’re wanting to stay in the area!

Being able to view this one from the highway was concerning at first, but once we were at the site we felt very safe.
It was quite windy being by the river/sea but it didn’t disturb our sleep. There was a dump station and bins on site which was handy!

This site had good resources, the showers were especially good - consistent hot water and very clean.
There were a number of campers parked beside us, but with a generous amount of space provided between each ( a picnic table for each camper that helped separate the lots). We arrived quite late and were still able to secure a spot close to the amenities.

This was a good little find with fairly priced powered sites.
There weren’t a whole heap of them, so during the busier seasons it wouldn’t be a bad idea to call ahead. They had clearly expanded due to the demand, adding sites, communal kitchen etc. The bathrooms and showers were quite dated, but they were clean. The lodge was just off of the main road in fox glacier, so it was just a couple of minutes walk to the general store and restaurants.

This was in a great position right by the lake with lots of friendly ducks wandering around.
There were designated recycling bins, which was great! There were a few elderly couples who had set up camp there to stay more than just the night. One man in particular seemed quite concerned about others disturbing the piece and was quite watchful of us. Aside from this, it was a great spot!

This is the perfect position if you’re wanting to spend the evening in Queenstown and stop off somewhere fuss free to sleep the night.
There are limited resources, however it is spacious and felt very safe. We were very far from our neighbors and there was plenty of room.
