Beautiful place, clean toilet, plenty of room, we stayed in tent. We were lucky enough having quiet and polite people around (considering we’ve been there during school holidays). If you are going on summer, it’s good to have a inflatable boat or a kayak, etc. Can’t wait to come back.

Beautiful camping site with plenty of space, two toilets placed far from each other.
We spent two nights (family with a 7 years old boy) and the toilet was very clean, however, at the end of the third day paper toilet and hand sanitizer had finished (is not a issue with you have yours). If you like fishing is a great spot to catch trouts - first, check fish and game booklets, they have some restrictions. No sand fly during the stay 🙌

Really nice campsite with toilet and raining water, good place to explore with kids - trails, fishing or boating - however, motor boat is safer than free boating because lake conditions changes suddenly
. Campsite is 6km to the lake.

We loved it!
Beautiful place, lots of space and thing to do such as fishing (get your licence first!), swimming, hiking and biking trails... only one toilet with a little sink to wash hands (not drinkable) very clean, however, it was out of season, I’m not sure with the camping full of people.

Monkey Island, Orepuki

Loved it!
Good for kids. When the tide is low, you can walk to Monkey Island and the view is stunning. It has sandflies but for me it wasn’t a issue however, keep you insects repellent near! It was difficult to sleep with the noise of the waves, people singing on the beach, and a strange noise coming from a farm ( it looked like a machine??? Cows???). The toilets was clean, but early in the morning it was smelly. Soon came a friendly lady to clean.
PS: respect our environment! Use the toilets!
