A truly unforgettable experience!
Makes you feel like a kid again -- jumping, sliding, abseiling, splashing off waterfalls and swimming under them. Beautifully organized so that even when you're feeling challenged you still feel completely safe in their hands. Still smiling and talking about his great day!
Thanks Rick! Challenge, play and beautiful scenery, that's what we like!

We recently visited Wellington to attend the World of Wearable Arts show, and were looking for reasonably priced accommodation that was convenient walking distance to the waterfront TSB Bank Arena, Cuba
Street etc. As the prices for most accommodation had skyrocketed for the weekend we were looking for something that was clean and comfortable and fit our budget, so decided on Downtown.
The building itself is an older art deco hotel that has been converted into a backpackers/hostel, and I think they did a really good job of it.
This place has character, the staff are friendly and helpful, and they are in the process of a renovation, so a lot of the rooms and bathrooms have been freshly upgraded. (We got one of the Supreme doubles with ensuite -- nice, comfortable and quiet). They also have an attached bar/café on the first floor, convenient and with good food.
Highly recommended if you're looking for something clean, reasonably priced and convenient.

What a GREAT day!
We did the Royale with Cheese, and our guide Hanna was extremely knowledgeable and helpful throughout, especially considering the very wide range of kayaking experience in our group. This is a very full day, with gorgeous views of the Abel Tasman including caves and seals, punctuated by a huge lunch (provided) in the middle. We were able to do something I've always wanted to try (grouping all out kayaks together and using a sail) so that was an added bonus for me. Highly recommended!

This is a "must do" for any visitor to New Zealand who would like to learn more about Maori culture in the Kaikoura area.
This tour is exceptional in that for a half day you feel welcomed and immersed in Maori history, legend and traditions, and come away with more than just facts and figures, but rather a feeling that you participated in something you'll never forget. Bravo to Maurice and his family for doing such a great job!
