From making the decision to go with Wendekreisen to leaving New Zealand post-trip they have been excellent.
Their communication is clear, fast, and with very helpful tips and links along the way. The check-in was great and very informative (although this is where they lose the single point...making sure that the user manuals for the camper are clearly pointed out and ideally just left on a table would have helped clear a little stress early on after we left). The staff were lovely and the camper as advertised. We had the budget 6 berth and she did exactly what we needed. She's budget for a reason and as long as you understand that then you'll have a great time. It's like taking a mini truck about the place!! We were delayed by traffic getting back to drop off the camper and the lady dealing with us could not have been nicer, even though it meant her working until after 6 to get us sorted. We even left a cuddly toy at their office and she was kind enough to drop it back at our hotel before we even noticed it was gone. Fantastic job and we will definitely use again when we head back to NZ in the future!

Sept 2019.
Rocked up with a 6 bed camper and got a powered site at a very good price. Facilities are excellent including great kitchen, well-priced laundry and great showers. We were there low season so pretty quiet. Space is limited so high season might be tough getting a spot from time to time. We had a one-year-old with us so the lamb in the living room, lambs pottering around, and very friendly dogs, 2 calves outside were a very welcome distraction. Great staff as well.

Sept 19: A great camping ground in a great spot.
Be aware that they take cash only! We found this out late but to their credit, both the owner and the lady at the local hotel were both very helpful indeed in making sure that it wasn't a problem. There are pony's, chickens, and ducks roaming the place and there's a nice small playground for little ones as well. Toilets and showers are clean with great power and hot water much appreciated!! The owner also told us they are non-profit with the money going to the local school so just another reason to stay here. The local pub also does great food, so worth a visit.

Does exactly what it says on the tin. It's a car park with some power stations available if required. $12 for powered when we were there and they work on an honesty system (even providing envelopes for posting the cash). Clean toilet available 24 hours. Sadly the museum was closed as it' looked quirkily interesting. Good staging point for Matamata.

Sept 19.
We arrived here pretty late in the day and the staff were very helpful. A mix of cabins, old caravans, and campsites. We had a big camper and were put in a good stot with power, water, and a greywater dump. Lovely view. The pool was closed as it was low season (and cold!) but the facilities were very good and clean. Nice spot.

Sept 19: We arrived around 4pm and were treated to stunning views of Mt Taranaki all the way in.
The spots for larger vans are a little sloped, which is not the end of the world, though the lower level regular spots offer the best morning views. Very quiet time of year and we could hear kiwis in the darkness from our bed. The toilets are clean and open all night and the visitors' centre has great staff who are very friendly and helpful regarding the local walks (especially the weather was somewhat....inclement when we were there). The cafe also has great coffee and cake to fuel up before hitting the trails!
