This place is pretty wacky- definitely very run down.
But with that in mind it was just what we needed before Tongariro crossing. Hot showers and fun to use the mineral pools- don’t be off put by the colour that’s the point of them being natural! Lots of cooking equipment and huge kitchen area. Very quiet and not busy which was nice!

Beautiful small lake , very quite and peaceful and best place for visiting Tekapo.
Long drop toilets fine. Washing up area with hand pump and some picnics benches! Would definitely go again.

Super clean homely facilities with completely Lovely kitchen/ lounge and toilet/showers.
Cute private areas for each campervan with picnic bench and grass. Still about 45 mins from Arthur’s pass but a fantastic place to stay

Other reviews pretty spot on: a car park so clearly cars side by side and yes near the train station but with good ear plugs and a grin you can’t complain!
Toilets fine , bins, and area to wash up with drinking water. Fantastic central location. You have to start paying from 8am but it’s cheap-$5 dollars I think for the day
