Susan and Graham were brilliant, we loved our van and considering how late we booked - we were lucky to get one at such a reasonable price!
Good, fast communication for booking and the lifts to and from Christchurch airport were really helpful. They run a well organised, experienced, professional service and reassured us that we could call them up with any questions whilst we were on the road. Our van had everything we needed and it really made our trip. I can highly recommend Campa South Rentals.

Large spacious campsite with beautiful views of the lake, lovely clean toilets and showers.
$36 for a powered site plus a dollar per shower. Highly recommended

Stayed because the two free ones further north were already full.
Grateful for a place to stop really! $13 each but that's not bad considering it was a fantastic view and the money goes to Doc so I don't mind seeing as they maintain all these beautiful places.
It poured with rain whilen we were there so didn't have to content with the flies. The section for tents near the lake got waterlogged very quickly, so keep an eye on the weather if you stay here.

Not one for the views but perfect for a stop off.
The small camping area was just in front of the loos, although it looked like you could camp in the members club car park next door for a donation (we went in the for a pint and some chips because our gas ran out!) Clean flushing toilets. Close to the road but we weren't disturbed.

Busy campsite so get there early and don't get stuck in the sand in the lower section.
Portable toilets which were fine, as you'd expect. Beautiful sunset and a good location.

Busy though! We ended up under the highway bridge. Portable toilets were fine. Careful where you drive as some vehicles can get stuck in the uneven ground
