We have been here once before and decided to come back because the experience was so good.
We didn't expect to see improvements because we didn't think it needed any and yet improvements have been made.
It's a terrible shame covid has hit this beautiful place so badly like so many other small busineses in our country.
This campground is one of the best we have in NZ. Stay here, it's worth it!!!

Awful.
We thought we would try it out but regretted it. Noisy people camping here, next to a busy road, it's just a carpark and other campers there didn't care about their noise levels late at night. As the saying goes, you get what you pay for.

We can't fault this place.
The one thing we absolutely loved was the fact that there are no new arrivals after 10pm so noone is getting woken up with someone showing up at 2am (we had this happen so many times in other campgrounds, makes staying in other places a nightmare).
The grounds themselves are immaculate, this park is obviously cared for with love. The kitchen, showers and toilets are not only clean but plentiful. Even though the kitchen can get crowded at dinner time, you have the option of using the 4 (free to use!) barbecues outside under cover.
The owners/operators, Colleen and Stuart are so welcoming and lovely and we were so happy to meet Andrew, their Labrador because we miss our dog so much and Andrew is a real treat. Surrounding the park are paddocks containing alpacas, cows, sheep and goats. It's so peaceful and everyone who was staying here in the campground seemed to be so respectful of keeping the night time quiet. So unique!
For anyone reading this, help to look after this beautiful place. This place is definitely loved. Thank you so much!!!
