We stopped at riverlands truck stop in the caravan after 9.5 hours of travelling with kids.
bathrooms were very clean and showers were great, we had a good sized cheap feed in the Cafe and the kids played puttputt. Lots of road/truck noise but we were to tired to care. Not a luxury stay but a great stop off to fuel us for another day or driving.

The facilities are good but you do have to pay on top of the fee to stay the night.
Sheltered so wasn’t too windy when cooking outside. Even though it’s next to the road it’s pretty quiet in the night.

We paid $15 just to get in the gate, thinking that it includes power, and then realized it is another $10 for power on top of that.
Only after we were inside the parking area did we see other free parking spots next door with a kiwi camp power station. Our fault for not looking closely before going in, but frustrating that there are no signs explaining. Facilities are very clean.

Don't go there, you'll have a better time anywhere else!
It's not a camp ground, it's a truck stop. There's car parks with caravan power points, but the stink from the cattle yards and the noise from the trucks... they don't tell you any of that on the website! I left straight away and they didn't charge me for the booking, but they still have my $50 that I loaded onto the Kiwicash account - I'm not able to use it for other accommodation until they refund it.

Stayed here for a week while working , looked great in photos until I went there and wasn’t allowed in the part I seen in photos , staff mostly unfriendly and a lot of hassle having to ask and pay for
a key off a grumpy lady for a 5minute shower , truck drivers were loud and obvious I would of got treated better had I been a truckie ,
