Rafting NZ are the ultimate professionals.
The humor, the experience and the knowledge of technical rafting, the river itself, the surrounding plants and wildlife and culture makes this a 10 out of 10 experience. Cant recommend it enough. My last trip was done with my family, the youngest being 11 and we felt so safe in the knowledge that we had the best guides in and around our raft. We are planning a work team event in November again. It will be another epic adventure.

Took a group of 6 to The Tongariro River Rafting on 18th of July.
It was also a fundraiser 4 a sick little boy named Easton, where all profits were donated to his family 😘. It was the first time rafting 4 all on our Waka...and we all loved it & had a thoroughly awesome day!!!! Our guide Nic was amazing with us & also happened w be my niece lol 😉 Back at the base we were all greeting with complimentary drinks & hotdogs ... Awesome Tongariro Rafting Team!!! 👌👍❤

I highly recommend rafting NZ for a fun family day out.
We did the river float with our three kids aged 7,9,11 and they had so much fun. This is something we will recommend to friends or whanau coming to Turangi. The trout centre stop off was a bonus as was jumping off the rocks!

Most exciting wonderful experience. Our guide was so knowledgeable of the Tongariro. Was well looked after and felt safe throughout the exciting fun rafting ride down the mighty river recommend to everyone

Was the first time in 20 years since I’d been on the river. Awesome set up and atmosphere at the base, safety briefings on point. Forgot how pristine and green our area of this world looks like. Counted over a dozen Whio and spotted numerous other wildlife. Will continually refer friends, whānau and friends of friends to you for the experience. Thank you. But also a personal acknowledgement for what you did for Easton. Ka nui te mihi.

Went here beginning of November and so annoyed at myself that I can't remember the names of the guys who took us out!!!
They were incredible and made it sooo much fun!! From the very start to the end, they told us fun stories about the mountains on the bus, to hot chocolate and fish on the raft and just overall jokes throughout! We were a party of four with another solo rafter and they made sure we were all inracting throughout. There's even a beer and a hot dog thrown in at the end!! Equipment was great, kept us super warm!! For someone who's never done rafting before, they gave clear instructions on what to do and very thorough on health and safety! Highly highly recommend, such great fun!!! Thank you!!

Went rafting in teaming rain in the middle of winter expecting the worst.
A really amazing experience in superb NZ wildernesses
The company rugged us up with lots of warm clothes and wetsuits and made sure we were really comfortable. They explained everything to us in the smallest detail and made my family group really confident. The length of the trip was perfect and the guides knowledge of each rapid excellent
My youngest son wanted to come back again tomorrow after the fifth rapid

Had and awesome afternoon rafting the Tongariro river with Rafting NZ and our awesome guide Charlotte.
The whole experience was awesome, slick and very professional from beginning to end with attention to detail from the whole team. Great safety tips and all the gear we needed was provided all we needed to do was turn up with our swimming costume or togs. Awesome to learn from Charlotte on the short bus trip to the river about the local Maori history of this special area. Great fun on the river and Charlotte was a great guide real patient with us, clear instructions and very knowledgeable about the river an made the trip fun. We had fun jumping into the river half way and the had a hot chocolate and chocolate to warm us up. Loved all 52 rapids and especially a beer and hot dog at the end in front of the lovely wood fire with Charlotte, Harry and the team while we watched our videos and laughed at our photos. A great way to spend an autumn afternoon an a must do. You rock Rafting NZ, I recommend anyone travelling through Taupo and Turangi to book a raft with the team you will not be disappointed.

Once kitted out with all the gear our awesome guide Madi did great job guiding us down through the rapids while sharing her knowledge of the area and the river.
Topped off at the end with a cold beer and hot dog, would highly recommend to anyone.

From pick-up the staff were friendly and accommodating.
The guides were funny and knowledgeable. An unforgettable experience that I would not hesitate to recommend or do again!

Was a blessing to enjoy the fun together. Memories like these will never be forgotten with the smiles joy from start to finish. To the guide's can't thank you enough these memories wouldn't be the same and to the lovely lady behind the desk say no more P

I was disappointed with Rafting New Zealand after reading all of these great reviews.
We did a Grade 3 trip in January and found that the team didn't really gel together and it all seemed a bit routine like. Our guide appeared a bit weary for the morning trip and had limited knowledge about the area when pressed with questions. What saved the experience were the rapids and the gorgeous weather. We had a group of about 30 people (so very big!) and the excitement level after rafting appeared average. We ate our hotdog and walked away without viewing the photos. Unfortunately not a memorable experience and wished we had gone with the smaller company down the road for a more personalised experience. Might have just been a bad day for the team in a busy holiday period.
